The Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) Identity and Access Management team is building the secure identity, authentication, and authorization systems for the AWS cloud. We are innovating new ways of building massively scalable and globally distributed security systems providing identity and access management, federation, web services security, and single sign on. Our services empower AWS customers to use AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS and CloudFront securely, and allow customers to configure AWS to meet their individual security requirements.

Amazon is seeking a seasoned manager and thought leader with strong product and program management experience in enterprise security products or services. This leader will help define and drive the product strategy and roadmap that will cement AWS as the leader in the area of cloud computing security. Responsibilities include large-scale projects and initiatives that directly grow the AWS business in current and adjacent markets.  This is a highly visible position that will interact at all levels of the AWS and Amazon.com business.

Strategic Objectives

  • Develop strategic and tactical plans that make the AWS services the most secure in the industry, and make it easy for customers to run their applications on AWS safely and securely. Drive broad adoption and provide an unparalleled customer experience.  This leader should be experienced with a range of approaches, including: feature development, pricing changes, a range of marketing channels (i.e. public relations, developer evangelism, promotions, etc.), customer surveys and profiling, sample application, code samples, and technical documentation.
  • Lead the organization through change, evolution, and sustained growth.  The right Product Manager will lead by example, being just as passionate about security and operational performance as they are about all other aspects of the customer experience.  With the AWS business growing extremely rapidly, this leader will need to exhibit excellent judgment on how to prioritize between focusing on existing versus new customers and between features, architectural improvements and operational excellence.
