Are you an experienced product manager or program manager who wants to be a part of driving the commerce of ecommerce? Amazon Global Payment Services is looking for proven product managers to join the team that designs and drives products through positioning, strategy, and direction for Amazon's global payment offerings to hundreds of retailers worldwide with particular focus on the issuance and acceptance of Amazon open-loop stored value (the Amazon Payments Account).
As one of the largest e-commerce companies in the world, Amazon processes billions of transactions in more than 12 currencies securely online via a number of payment mechanisms, including credit cards, online and offline direct debit from a bank accounts, and various forms of open and closed loop stored value (including electronic gift certificates). These transactions are processed on behalf of thousands of merchants, including Amazon. Over the past 10 years, Amazon has become known across the globe as the most trusted company on the internet and world-class payment services is a big contributor to the promise of trust for Amazon’s customers (buyers, sellers and developers). And there’s additional opportunity to leverage our payment services assets.
As a Senior Product Manager of our Amazon Stored Value payment products, you will chart the course of enhancing existing global products as well as creating new products and services that solve real world problems for our customers (buyers, sellers and developers) and internal stakeholders (including legal, tax, accounting, treasury and IT security teams). You will ensure that your assigned products meet and exceed the highest processing standards including cost, revenue, security, technical precision and scalability. You will work across the company with existing platform systems and processes to develop products that grow with our customer and business needs.
You will select, negotiate with and manage our external payment service suppliers (including acquirers, processors, card companies, banks, distribution channels and other financial services providers), balancing collaboration and competition with them. You must have payment industry contacts and be able to leverage them in defining new acceptance products and features. You must be able to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously. If you have done this within a large organization, it is a plus.
You possess a strong background in payment systems and product development, a strong understanding of the global card acquiring and processing business, and the ability to communicate and coordinate with and influence a range of stakeholders including senior management, product development, system engineering, finance and business development teams. You absolutely must have a solid and proven track record of bringing successful payment products to market online or in other direct retailing models.

- Minimum of 3+ years experience as product or general manager or management consultant in the payment card or retail financial services industry.
- Demonstrated marketing program development and sustained performance required.
- Understanding and practice with product management methodologies, especially those that support agile software development environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise software solutions, such as, databases, ERP, CRM, application servers, etc., required and business process design (including BPR, Six Sigma, etc.).
- B.A. or B.S. in Business, Finance or Economics discipline, required.
