Product Owner
Technology Innovations Group is seeking a Product Owner to join the Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) Unified Compute Platform (UCP) Engineering team. The Product Owner will be broadly skilled across multiple areas within IT. Background should include datacenter design / management experience, server virtualization experience, and software design experience. An important aspect of this role is the ability to take ownership and responsibility for the product. From definition to acceptance, this role will be representing current and future customer requirements. The Product Owner is jointly accountable for the delivery of the product.

Job Functions
The Product Owner is a key contributor to the success of the product. They will build user stories based on functional requirements of the product. They will then work with the developers to ensure the product delivered meets the acceptance criteria defined by the Product Owner.
- Key contributor in defining product functional specification
- Work with project stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements
- Manage and prioritize product backlog
- Builds stories in backlog (works with architects to populate backlog)
- Responsible for decomposing backlog into user stories
- Development of supporting data required for user stories (i.e., wireframes)
- Articulates the business value of user stories
- Understand and articulate how the project firt into the overall program
- Present on progress and provide demos of work to stakeholders
- Responsible for providing acceptance criteria during sprint review
Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Software design knowledge / experience
- Server virtualization knowledge / experience
- Datacenter architecture knowledge / experience
- Network and systems management knowledge / experience
- Good time management skills
- Good presentation skills
- Self-starter that can independently add value and proactively load balance with team members
