Job Description

As Product Manager, Amazon Consumer Payments you will develop and manage a best-in-class online payments experience for Amazon customers across the globe. You must be a relentless customer advocate, and deliver an industry-leading experience that exceeds their expectations in support of Amazon’s goals.  You must possess the tenacity and imagination to drive the overhaul of, and continuous enhancements to, the consumer payments experience from concept to completion. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company, from engineering and program management to legal and compliance to define product release requirements and deliver against goals to achieve the right results for the customer and the company. You will work with key clients and stakeholders of Amazon Global Payments to define the experience, product positioning, and customer communication strategy.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End-to-end ownership of the online consumer payments experience
  • Research and establish the mission, goals and supporting business metrics and indicators for a best in class consumer financial services experience.
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by deep understanding of existing customers and non-customers (prospects and competitors).
  • Driving a solution set across stakeholders (primarily Development/Engineering, Customer Experience, Operations, Legal/Compliance and Accounting).
  • Developing and implementing a launch plan, working with all departments to execute.


Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience as product manager in the payment card, consumer financial services, or alternative payments industry with significant online experience.
  • B.A. or B.S. required


Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success launching new products, sites or features.
  • Experience with product management methodologies, especially agile software development.
  • Experience working in  a startup, or venture-funded company desirable
  • The ability to succeed in a matrix organization that relies on influencing other groups
  • Excellent cross-functional project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills
  • MBA with  technology or product concentration  preferred
