Millions of times an hour, our website software helps our customers discover the vital details of the products they want: images, descriptions, reviews, similar products, and the crucial information about product price and availability. The accurate presentation of this information at massive scale is core to the buying experience and is a critical component of the overall customer experience on Amazon.*. The RCX Product Management team is is devoted to making the experience as fast, simple, clean, accurate, and authoritative as possible for our customers world wide. We’re looking for a Senior Manager to help us execute on our vision! You will be responsible for building and managing the product vision and and consistent delivery of the project goals. Specifically, you will:
• build and manage great product management teams that know how to communicate with multiple teams and deliver excellent software through rapid iteration • establish a continuous thread of product leadership throughout the project, ensuring consistency and interoperability of the project components • be the guardian of world-class customer experience for the entire project: continually raise the bar on functionality, flow, consistency, usability, and simplicity • establish a consistent, solid project framework and excellent development processes across multiple development teams • represent the organization and evangelize the project to senior leadership • provide leadership and guidance to your team members and project peers • be a champion of product and operational excellence: establish group-wide metrics for measurement of business and operational excellence and a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvement • work effectively with product managers, designers, developers and business teams to deliver the best overall product experience factoring in financial goals and usability goals.

We’re looking for a product owner who feels at home resolving ambiguity: someone who can help his or her teams find the right balance of business goals, great product and technical and operational excellence. • BS or better in Computer Science or related discipline, MBA or MS preferred. • at least 10 years of real industry experience as a product manager or senior manager with at least 5 of those managing multiple product lines • broad-based technical expertise including fluency in evolving web technologies, mobile devices and a detailed understanding of how things work • experience delivering a world-class customer experience and a detailed understanding of what made that customer experience world-class • experience shipping one or more large-scale, highly available internet applications: website latency, fast customer interactions, and internet applications should all be second nature • a proven track record of technological and business success
