Marketing New Product Manager

About the Job

General Summary:

This Product Marketing Manager position provides product marketing leadership for new medical device product launches and successfully transfers the product marketing programs post launch to Marketing Operations.? This position is responsible for the “value proposition” of the new brand/?new model.?

Principle Duties:

  • Provide marketing launch programs for multiple Verathon new product introductions, as assigned to support Verathon’s sales and profitability targets
  • Work in conjunction with NPD to help define the new product (or restage) requirements, to develop the product positioning and to ensure overall successful new product introductions.?
  • Lead market research projects where needed.?
    • Thoroughly understand new product customer targets and sales channels, what drives them, trends and key customer insights.?
  1. Conduct market analysis
    • Monitor competitive activity and industry developments
  • Draft detailed Market Requirements and Product Positioning documents
  • Create and own the complete product launch Marketing Plan
    • Develop Marketing objectives, strategies, tactics and measures
    • Define introductory marketing programs and related calendar including:
      • Advertising & media
        • Define media targets and launch plan.? Work in conjunction with the Marketing Ops team to negotiate media for launch.?
      • Website, Apps, Mobile & E Commerce
      • Direct Mail
      • Trade Shows & Workshops
        • Collaborate with the Marketing Trade Show Team to maximize launch opportunities.? Partner to track results.?
      • PR
      • Collateral – including selling pieces and in-service materials
      • Videos – educational and selling
      • Sales tools and Sales education
      • Training tools
    • Assist Sales in any needed channel program items
    • Help pinpoint key luminaries for the product/?brand
    • Develop and manage marketing launch budget
    • Ensure “excellence in execution” on all marketing programs.?
  • Collaborate with internal Creative Team to create new product/?brand elements, to optimize marketing materials, and to ensure their accuracy (especially claim support) and quality.? Responsible for excellence and continuity on all Marketing launch materials.?
  • Drive programs with data.?
    • Assist other functional areas as required in revenue $ and unit forecasting and tracking with Sales and Ops.? Recommend necessary reports/?reporting systems.?
    • Track key business metrics on assigned launch programs, especially ROI.? Recommend improvements and action steps.?
    • Maintain research and fact/?stat database for the brand.? Help develop and track all needed customer, channel and competitive data and analyses.?
  • Facilitate seamless integration with cross-functional teams as needed for well-executed product launch.?
  • Communicate and assist global marketing team colleagues in preparing for their new product launch.?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business.?
  • At least 7 years Marketing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years proven marketing experience/?track record launching new products
  • Prior experience in medical device product marketing management highly desired
  • Exceptional marketing product management experience with demonstrated results across entire marketing mix
  • Excellent organizational, planning and project/?product management skills; strong attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; solid team member and team leader
  1. Ability to manage cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships
  • Track record of generating successful new product/?marketing ideas
  • Prior experience in a Fortune 1000 company preferred
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business opportunities and to track marketing program productivity
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills; solid judgment
  • Excellent creative assessment skills
  • International Marketing experience a plus
  • Successful background working in close partnership with Sales
  • Excellent budget management

 

  • Expert at MSFT Office, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.? Prior work with Onyx a plus.?
  • Approximately 30%? domestic/?international travel.? Due to nature of medical conferences, must be able to travel on weekends.?
