Amazon.com seeks a Senior Product Manager – Textbooks Inventory Management for the US Textbooks Supply team. The Product Manager is responsible for the ongoing analysis and optimization of inventory procurement systems and processes to ensure we achieve world class inventory optimization and health for one of Amazon’s largest product lines.  In addition, the position will work closely with the US Textbooks management team and centralized software teams to prioritize and drive improvements to all inventory management related systems and processes that impact Textbooks. As part of this they will own defining and implementing a process and metrics to audit all systems inputs and outputs on a continuous basis and use the resultant data to drive projects to eliminate root cause defects that are identified as a result of these audits.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a Supply Chain/Operations discipline
• Strong data analysis, problem solving and project management skills
• 5+ years supply chain, inventory management, retail and/or project management experience
• Experience working with IT professionals and process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

• Graduate degree in Business, Engineering or a Supply Chain/Operations discipline preferred
• Must possess excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done
