Senior Product Marketing Manager – Advertiser Value and Customer Loyalty role overview:

DataSphere is looking for a Product Manager to own one of the critical drivers of our business: the satisfaction and consequent loyalty of our tens of thousands of advertisers.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying the primary factors responsible for customer retention, and then owning and driving initiatives to move this measure in a positive direction.

Your responsibilities will be broad and exciting, with very specific and measurable results showcasing the progress you’ve made. The range of activities you’ll undertake will range from analysis of numerical data and surveys of advertisers, through the distillation of specific action oriented strategies, and then to the implementation and tracking of these strategies through interaction with the sales, development, marketing and business development teams.

This is one of the most important roles in the company and will have substantial exposure to the senior executive teams.  We’re looking for someone that can operate effectively at multiple levels, from hands on analysis to big picture strategy and results-focused project management. What you’ll do:

  • Define and set up measurement and tracking of metrics associated with customer retention
  • Understand the key opportunities to improve customer retention through analysis of quantitative data, market environment and customer feedback.
  • Formulate and prioritize proposals to implement programs to improve customer value and the way we interact with customers. These efforts may span everything from new product formulation to changing how the customer service team interacts with our clients.
  • Create and manage project plans to turn these proposals into reality
  • Oversee the launch of the new initiatives, including go-to-market plans
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of these initiatives and iterate/optimize as appropriate to drive the best results

A Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • 7-10 years of experience in the advertising/marketing industry, preferably at a company with a subscription model
  • Experience developing and implementing programs to improve advertiser or customer retention
  • Strong analytical skills (comfortable using pivot tables and building regression models)
  • Experience developing a market research program for a large organization from the ground up
  • Excellent understand of online advertising (CPM, CPC, CPA, etc)
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering meaningful bottom line results
  • The ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • A natural capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to synthesize many data points into a coherent actionable strategy
  • A self starter mentality and the ability to cut through ambiguity and drive to specific and effective actions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing.  MBA is a plus.
