|
Amazon Web Services is looking for an experienced Product Management leader to grow our emerging Amazon Simple Storage (Amazon S3) business. This position will be responsible for driving customer adoption and usage growth and for creating a world class customer experience.
The leader of Amazon S3 Product Management will:

Build a strong and deep product management organization.

Grow adoption and usage of Amazon S3. Identify and quantify customer segments with strong growth potential, creating the business case and strategy for targeting. Implement growth strategy by coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver any necessary changes.

Measure and analyze impact of existing functionality. Identify opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to the customer. Build strong internal relationships with technology and development teams to drive implementation.

Measure and analyze impact of existing pricing and merchandising. Identify opportunities to innovate and improve. Build strong internal relationships with the sales and central marketing organizations to drive implementation of new merchandising strategies.

Conduct business and financial analysis, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.
The successful candidate will be a tenacious, ambitious, self-starter with a passion for the cloud storage market and who can serve as a strong advocate for our developer, corporate, and consumer customers. The candidate will have proven analytical capabilities, strong persuasive writing skills, internet business experience, and the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment. He/she must have a deep understanding of customer needs, the competitive landscape and be able translate customer needs into features, pricing models, and merchandising opportunities to deliver an unparalleled customer experience. He/she must also have a proven track record of building and leading strong teams, scaling them to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business. He/she should have the ambition to become the General Manager, with end to end responsibility for Amazon S3.

| Basic Qualifications |
|
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
- 10+ years of product management experience preferably with internet business experience
- 5+ years of management experience
BA/BS required; BS in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics plus MBA preferred
