Job Description

The Amazon Trade-In team is looking for people who move quickly, are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems, and have a strong will to get things done.  New Product Managers will be given ownership of their own projects with budget and revenue targets that they are responsible for.  This person will have the autonomy to think strategically, make decisions and drive significant impact to the customer experience and the business.  This position will help invent, manage, and deliver an entirely new customer experience that gives Amazon customers a new way to interact with the company.

 

Key functions of the role include: working cross-functionally with legal, operations, shipping, marketing, design, and external business partners; driving projects to completion; negotiating with external business partners;  developing strategies based on data; balancing business needs and physical constraints while maximizing business benefit and building great customer experiences.

 

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution skills, ability to work in an extremely deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask are essential
  • Excellent judgment and prioritization skills, the ability to create and sustain urgency coupled with a passion for business, technology and delivering a world-class customer experience
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization,
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what’s necessary
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years in product management, business management and/or marketing
  • BA/BS degree required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior online retail experience
  • Experience with the college student segment
  • Experience managing projects
  • Ability to deliver initiatives from concept through completion
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfort with and/or the ability to learn a varied set of software and editing tools
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
