|
Senior Product Manager, Kindle Education The Amazon Kindle Education team is seeking an innovative, results-oriented, customer-centric team player with strong analytical skills to help build our education business. The Senior Product Manager will help define and drive the business and product strategy for the Kindle offering to the education segment, help improve students’ customer experience, and help to establish our end-to-end businesses for Amazon Kindle within the education segment. Some of the key job functions of the Senior Product Manager are:
- Contribute to the overall education product and feature roadmap, and manage prioritization and tradeoffs against customer experience.
- Write product/marketing requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams.
- Establish business and pricing models, and metrics and indicators for success, to support Kindle Education’s mission and goals.
- Measure and analyze existing products and business and pricing models for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to customers.
- Research and identify new opportunities within the education market segment for Kindle.
Job Qualifications
- The candidate will have succeeded in delivering products/services in a high growth environment and will have thrived in ambiguity and shifting priorities. 5-7 years experience.
- He or she is a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly and effectively influence across cross functional teams.
- The Amazon Kindle business requires innovative thinking balanced with a strong customer and quality focus. This product manager will have a strong track record of achieving that balance.
- Strong interest in and knowledge of digital technologies and media.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements.
- Proven ability to make smart trade-offs on time-to-market versus features.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Program Management, Quality Assurance, and Senior Leadership.
- Street smarts and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what's necessary.

| Basic Qualifications |
- 5+ years in product management, sales and/or marketing is required
- Bachelor's degree is required
|
