Description

The Fluke Industrial Marketing team is looking for a skilled marketing professional.  The ideal candidate will develop technical specifications based upon VOC and oversee product lifecycle through the BOB process using business plans, marketing strategy, technical analyses and forecasts for assigned product lines.  Maintain current status of customer requirements for existing and future products within assigned product(products).  Identify, evaluate and recommend marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives.  Provide in-depth technical support to Product Line , Product Marketing, sales force, and customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform primary and secondary international market research to define new products and services.

  • Commercialize new products and services as a member of global, matrixed, cross-functional new product development teams.
  • Prepare and present investment proposals for corporate executive approval.
  • Perform competitive intelligence analysis.
  • Perform comprehensive market analysis to identify strategic new markets to profitably enter.
  • Interface with Development Engineers at eight global design centers to prototype new technologies and solutions.
  • Conduct needs based segmentation of target markets and end user requirements analysis.
  • Conduct market surveys; analyze, interpret and report their results.
  • Support merger and acquisition initiatives with focused brand and market research.
  • Maintain high-bandwidth dialog with customers.
  • Forecast new product revenues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering , or other technical related degree such as Physics or Chemistry, with a minimum of 5 years related experience.  MBA preferred with 3 years related experience.   Advanced marketing and/or financial training a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a project.
  • Ability to develop and apply marketing concepts and techniques.
  • Broad technical acumen and strong native intellectual curiosity.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing practices and principles.

    Other: Moderate to Frequent Travel
