Senior Product Manager, Coupons
Amazon is looking for a talented Senior Product Manager to help grow our existing Coupon offering (www.amazon.com/coupons) from a proof-of-concept into a mature product. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneur with proven skills in identifying market opportunities, developing business strategies and product requirements, prioritizing execution plans and an interest in being a key participant in determining the next phase of the offering. As this is a nascent product, you thrive in a scrappy world with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
The Senior Product Manager, Coupons is responsible for Amazon’s Coupon products including product strategy, product enhancements, business development, merchandising and financial projections. As Product Manager, you will be measured on financial, project and quality goals related to the product.
You will work internally with cross-functional stakeholders as well as directly with external parties to identify innovative strategies for online coupons. You will work with these groups to assess the competitive market, analyze the business needs, create the product requirements, define the go-to-market strategy, and create go-to-market sales tools, helping them to understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will test a variety of tactics to grow customer adoption and test our hypotheses about how customers use this product which you will use to develop your strategy and plans .
Responsibilities:
- Help establish to the product mission, goals and supporting business metrics and indicators for a best in class Coupon product
- Research and identify opportunities for Amazon to further distinguish its Coupon offering
- Drive dramatic increases in sales by optimizing the coupon experience. Develop best-in-class strategies for online coupons.
- Drive the Coupon solution set across stakeholders (primarily Development/Engineering, Customer Experience, Operations, Sales, Legal/Compliance and Accounting) through market requirements, product requirements and positioning
- Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going, intimate knowledge of existing customers and non-customers (prospects and competitors)
- Measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to the customers and Amazon.com

- 5+ years of software product management/product marketing/business development experience, preferably in a business software, consumer financial services, retail or online services company
- Experience managing small to medium sized projects end to end
- Bachelor’s degree; marketing, business administration, economics or finance preferred
- Experience with technology development best practices and product management methodology

- Enjoy spending time with the clients and other market representatives to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions to grow both Amazons and their businesses
- Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills
- Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision as well as the drive and attention to detail that transforms the vision into a reality
- Highly detail-oriented and data-driven, able to fluently analyze and act on performance metrics.
- Comfort rolling up sleeves to perform quantitative analysis and reach sound conclusions. Strong time-management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
