Amazon is looking for an experienced product manager and ecommerce visionary to lead the product roadmap and strategy of Amazon Webstore, an integral part of Amazon's seller business. Amazon Webstore provides a differentiated ecommerce product that makes it fast, simple and low cost for companies to sell online, while leveraging the capabilities of Amazon's marketplace, fulfillment services, and secure, scalable infrastructure. Amazon Webstore powers businesses ranging from well-known brands and retailers, such as Motorola, Lacoste, bebe, to the websites of thousands of small and medium-sized businesses.

 

The Senior Product Manager, Webstore will be responsible for defining the Webstore business requirements and product roadmap, and driving continuous innovation to deliver a highly differentiated, self-service ecommerce solution in meeting the needs of Amazon Webstore's target customers. As part of the Webstore Product Management team, the Senior PM will be responsible for driving continued improvements in seller's experience, satisfaction and success with the Webstore product. This role will be accountable for driving key initiatives and associated business results tied to seller's performance.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

- Product strategy and direction: Continually assess the needs of sellers, market trends, competitive opportunities and threats in defining and evolving the Webstore product strategy in your area of product ownership. Define both long term strategy and short term plans to achieve the product vision and deliver business results. You will also contribute to the overall business and marketing strategy in your area of focus.

 

- Roadmap Planning: Ensures consistent execution of product lifecycle processes from concept to launch. Ensures value-based prioritization of product development initiatives to ensure maximum ROI, and market-driven alignment. Deliver world-class innovation in features, usability and product performance in consistent cadence of releases. Manage a cross-functional process for prioritizing, delivering and launching major product releases. Be the internal and external authority and advocate for your given area of focus. You will also lead and coordinate the service launch across all organizations.

 

- Requirements Definition: Develop comprehensive product plans, which incorporates market requirements, defines the competitive arena, and establishes the objectives, strategies, and actions required to achieve business goals. Produce high quality MRDs and PRDs and effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each product launch to deliver key capabilities on time and on budget.

 

- Seller Success: Manage and monitor seller performance with Webstore, and drive product innovation to improve self-service capabilities for sellers to achieve and grow online sales success. Drive innovations to all elements of the seller experience to improve their business results post implementation. Constantly improve the tools and processes involved in on-boarding and on-going seller success.

 

Basic Qualifications

- Minimum of 7 years product management or equivalent experience delivering software or online products to market.

- Deep and demonstrable domain expertise in the field of eCommerce or similar industries is required.

- Extensive experience in product, program, and/or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services in a SaaS-based business model.

- Experience defining market and product requirements, working with engineering organizations to rapidly deliver high-impact capabilities to market.

- Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams in new product launches. Ability to manage release-readiness programs across internal and external stakeholders including product/engineering, sales/account, support, operations, and marketing functions.

- Proven written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to create a compelling positioning/messaging strategy a must.

- Possess strong, pragmatic approach for achieving rapid results, and for thriving in a rapidly evolving, high-risk market space.

- Motivated to accomplish goals and objectives.
