This position reports into the Product Management team, with certain responsibilities to our Customer Delivery team. The person will be responsible for understanding Appature’s long term healthcare marketing reporting needs in order to help enhance the company’s reporting and analytical systems for our customers.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience managing data warehouse projects and the use of tools like MicroStrategy/Tableau/SpotFire as agile reporting solutions to solve business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Work to understand and develop the business rules surrounding reporting and how reports and data sets are used.
- Work with key business end users to conceptualize and document new BI product or reporting requirements.
- Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
- Help coordinate, scope and prioritize products with Product Team and Customer Engagement team.
- Manage BI products throughout the entire development life cycle:
- Work with Business to understand and document requirements completely and accurately
- Plan and execute System deployments, including technical and business components
- Ensure all required system and user documentation is created accurately
- Communicate status, issues and risks to project stakeholders, project team and Management
- Develop and provide business analysis and product domain expertise within Healthcare Marketing
- Analyze source systems and related data sets to ensure business requirements for projects can be successfully translated for data modeling, architecture, development and QA teams
- Incorporate analysis into detailed Functional Specifications documentation, including data samples, use cases, key project assumptions, report samples, proposed ad hoc samples, data flows, logical data models and other details required to bridge the understanding between business and technical teams.
- Develop deep understanding of source systems, business usage, DW transformations/business logic, data issues, etc. related key Subject Areas and/or Data Marts in the Data Warehouse.
- Provide consultation to Business Units and Technical Teams related to assigned Subject Areas.
- Ensure BI product documentation is current and accurate.
- Identify internal Business Analyst team processes/methodology and document improvements to help drive enhancements to work quality, team efficiency and job satisfaction.
Requirements
- Strong technical experience with databases and SQL, data warehousing, data modeling concepts and reporting tools (e.g. Microstrategy and Tableau)
- Experience with marketing software platforms and technologies: CRM, Relationship Marketing, Demand Generation, Marketing Automation, Lead Management, and Marketing Database Master
- Ability to communicate fluently with customers, technical developers and management.
- Solid product management experience, especially managing large scale product with team spanning multiple organizations and geographies.
Qualifications:
- Obsession with customer satisfaction
- Bachelors degree in Decision Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related business degree and (5) years’ experience in product management / business systems analysis.
- MBA in Marketing, Decision Sciences, or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Familiar with enterprise CRM systems, such as Siebel, SAP, SugarCRM, or Salesforce.com
- Familiar with enterprise software implementations (ERP, SFA, BI, CRM, Data Warehouses, etc.)
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
- Natural curiosity to learn new technologies, uncover insights in data, and passion and aptitude for data and analytics.
- Self-motivated, exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and follow-through on multiple complex efforts under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiar with formal project management methodologies, including PMI and Agile
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment
