Amazon.com is looking for an innovative and experienced product manager to design, build and manage massively scalable social media programs which attract customers to Amazon. The Senior Product Manager will be a pivotal position in developing the social marketing strategy for the organization. As part of Amazon’s Traffic (Marketing) organization you’ll have a chance to think and act big, exercising a bias for action coupled with thoughtful experimentation.
The ideal candidate is an idea generator with strong customer instincts. He or she balances creativity with the technical and analytical orientation to manage product design and help engineering delivery. Candidates should be skilled negotiators, with a strong sense of accountability, and a keen focus on delivering solid customer experiences with exciting bottom-line results.
In this role you will have ownership and responsibility through the full product cycle, from product strategy, prioritization and development to adoption and iteration. You will work with the executive team, marketing, and engineering to tackle big questions like how can Amazon best use its rich data and technology platform to help deliver success in social media campaigns, while protecting and enhancing the customer experience on Amazon.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work from the customer backward to develop product strategy, product definition, forecasting and positioning for Amazon.
- Work with engineering and early-adopting customers to drive and tune implementation against the product roadmap.
- Manage products through initial launch and follow-on releases.
- Develop and manage strong, high-level, relationships with national and international social network organizations.
- Take ownership of campaign performance and adjust tactics to meet objectives
- Execute social campaigns driving new customers and generating incremental sales
- This person will be responsible for driving strategy, ideation, and social product design
- Partner with Traffic and Analytics teams to evaluate and improve (as necessary) systems and methods of targeting, tracking, reporting, and evaluation of our social media programs.
- Partner with Creative team to develop more effective means of leveraging social networking channels
- Develop scalable processes for social operations (campaigns, sweepstakes, apps, etc.)
- Adept at working x-functionally across the organization
