| Overview: |
|
Own the overall planning, strategic direction, staffing and managing of Talyst’s product management and marketing teams. Serve as the executive leader for the full cycle product launch, incorporating customer and market research, internal development guidance and timelines and marketing launch to market.
|
| Responsibilities: |
|
- Provide direction, leadership and strategy for product development, marketing and inside sales.
- Set the organizations strategic growth path with regard to product plans, focus and architecture. Work in coordination with executive team to develop operational plans to reach Talyst’s strategic, technical, and product management goals.
- Oversee product management including market and customer research for market and product requirements.
- Interface with engineering for product development, sales team for product pricing and internal support teams for product lifecycle management.
- Create implementation plans for new technical projects or product lines in conjunction with sales and marketing feedback and directives to ensure products meet real customer/market needs.
- Execute on the ongoing creation of research campaigns to collect relevant feedback from current and potential customers. Ensure valuable market data is leveraged in the competitive positioning of Talyst products from start to finish and feeding the organizations long term and strategic goals.
- Stay educated on market trends and pharmacy related problems to find new or improved product lines for Talyst.
- Ensure product marketing strategies are executed on in a timely fashion and deliverables are met and measured for success and against product expectations.
- Direct marketing team in the overall design and internal support for strategies to market Talyst products
- Oversee product marketing including product launch management, sales training presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis and general sales support.
- Develop and manage budgets and complete periodic project costing and analysis to ensure products are delivered within cost restrictions and guidelines.
- Provide executive technical leadership to organizations acquired and/or evaluated during M&A discussions. Guide on product related system evaluations and purchase decisions.
- Evaluate and make organizational recommendations for build vs. buy decisions and evaluations of technology and/or industry partners.
- Manage high-level contract negotiations with vendors and partners.
- Act as spokesperson for the company with press and analysts and at industry events.
- Manage, coach, develop, mentor and regularly assess and review performance metrics for a team of direct reports composed of leadership and individual contributor roles.
- Support and promote the Talyst values through positive interactions with both internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Attend to other strategic initiatives and projects as assigned.

| Qualifications: |
|
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and executive level work experience. Master’s degree in business or technical field preferred.
- 15+ years product management and/or managerial roles within software/hardware environment. Experience with healthcare related products a major plus.
- Proven ability to strategically manage at all levels of a software and hardware product lifecycle.
- Demonstrated successful management and team building experience.
- Proven technical accomplishments in the development, delivery and deployment of a successful product to the marketplace
- Experience demonstrating an understanding of customer issues and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Strong strategy, analytical, presentation and communication skills.
- Experience overseeing and implementing compliance with internal controls.
- Success in mentoring and coaching others in a professional environment and effectively motivating and managing numerous teams of other leadership roles at once.
- Experience working in a goal oriented, delivery focused, and dynamic environment.
Working Conditions:
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Corporate travel will be required to remote offices, customer sites or other business meetings and events, up to 30% of the time.
