Sr. Product Manager, Kindle Books - Self Publishing
Our vision for Amazon Kindle is to have every book, ever printed, in every language all available in less than 60 seconds. Kindle self publishing (http://dtp.amazon.com) is an integral part of reaching this vision, and provides a free, fast, and easy way to publish and sell content on Kindle store across a variety of devices such as Kindle, PC, iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, and Android phones. We are seeking an innovative and results-oriented Sr. Product Manager to join our high energy fast growing team. The Sr. Product Manager will:
* Define strategy and vision for the Kindle self publishing platform
* Identify opportunities for growth, strategic alliance, and partnerships
* Perform financial/data analysis and prioritize initiatives
* Document and present strategies to senior management
* Measure impact and fine tune strategies and product roadmap
* Develop business requirement documents (BRD) and product specifications
* Work with designers to optimize product features for enhanced user experience
* Work with software development team to implement product features
* Manage end-to-end execution of product roadmap
Job Qualifications:
* 7+ years of product management experience
* Must be able to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities
* Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills are required
* Must have bias for action, and experience making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Experience in technology/consumer products is preferred
* Experience working in a startup is preferred
* Experience in self publishing is preferred
* MBA from a top university is preferred
