About the Senior Product Marketing Manager role

Location: Bellevue, Full-Time

In this highly visible role, you will help define and execute Motricity’s mobile enterprise solutions go-to-market strategy and tactics. You will drive product marketing programs that help Motricity launch new solutions and offers across key horizontal solution areas and industry verticals.  You will be executing go-to-market strategy and tactics, as well as acting as a key evangelist for our products and solutions with large enterprise customers and working closely with product management, marketing, sales and executive teams.

Primary Responsibilities

Working closely with Product Managers, Marketing, and Sales, the Product Marketing Manager is tasked with conceiving, planning, and executing highly effective go-to-market strategies for multiple products, offers and customer solution areas.  This includes creating product and market positioning, product marketing materials, creating product demos and leading sales training programs.

Spanning a wide range of activities, the Product Marketing Manager will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

Leadership. Plan and oversee product and offer launch/rollout activities including leading cross-functional   teams to ensure all aspects are completed in a timely and quality manner.

Develop Product Packaging. Develop and maintain consistent product messaging. This includes definition of target audiences, business needs, benefits provided and desired results. Ensure that product descriptions and messages are used consistently by all external-facing teams. Develop case studies, materials, sales presentations, and other sales tools.

Competitive Analysis. Be a source of expertise on competitive offerings – help gather and disseminate competitive information and positions across the organization.

Sales Training. Provide effective sales enablement through tools, training and market expertise to ensure direct and indirect channels are able to effectively position and sell Motricity solutions.

Webinars and Public Speaking. Manage messaging and content development for product material, webcasts, speaking events, and other internal and external communications.

Product Evangelism. Act as a product leader and advocate for the product within the company and in the industry. Work closely with the PR, media and analyst relations team at Motricity to ensure our message is effectively communicated to all thought leaders and decision makers.  Capture feedback from customers and the wider market to feedback into product planning and prioritization cycles.

Supervision: This is an individual contributor position

The successful candidate for this position will meet the following requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following areas:

Product Marketing Manager or Product Manager in a technology company with demonstrated success in defining and launching winning products

Experience with mobile products and solutions

Experience with a SaaS-based solution delivery model

Experience in creating, planning and executing winning go-to-market strategies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills: negotiating, persuading, public speaking and listening

Proven ability to design, create and script effective product demos for sales and marketing efforts

Basic project management skills

Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

Demonstrated success in working in a team-based, collaborative environment

Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced organization

Undergraduate degree in business or technology field

Additional Preferred Skills

Technical Acumen and Mobile Technology Familiarity, although this position is not a technical position, the ability to interface with developers, customers and product management and have familiarity withHTML5, iOS, Android, RIM, WAP, SMS, Location and other mobile technologies is helpful and considered a desired asset. An avid Smartphone power user and heavy consumer of mobile data services (sites and apps) and frequent participant of mobile marketing campaigns is also a plus.
