Senior Marketing Manager, Microsoft.com Are you interested in making a major impact in the way customers interact with Microsoft online? The Microsoft.com Team is currently looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to define, manage, and execute on the value proposition, features and benefits of leveraging Microsoft.com as a world-class marketing and sales engine.
Microsoft.com is the most visited corporate website in the world, serving a global audience and receiving more than 280 million unique users every month. Many of these customers visit a cross-section of Microsoft online properties as they discover, acquire and maximize the value of, their Microsoft products and services, and form key opinions about Microsoft through these experiences. They expect quality, consistency and performance.
As a member of the Microsoft.com team, the Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for building and executing against a plan to maximize the value of this incredible asset by driving awareness, consideration and integration of key digital marketing capabilities into our industry-leading sites, including, but not limited to, video, social media, mobile, display advertising, content targeting and Search.
You will contribute to this effort by drawing on exceptional and demonstrated skills in developing branding, positioning and messaging for Microsoft.com digital capabilities, engaging with internal stakeholders and partners to connect capabilities to desired business outcomes, examining external competitor offerings and driving differentiation in our product mix, and facilitating the feedback loop with product development to drive enhancements in our capability offerings. You will utilize cross-organizational collaboration skills, and will have the opportunity to present plans and progress to the most senior levels in the company. Principle job duties and responsibilities: • Build and maintain branding, positioning and messaging framework for the Microsoft.com portfolio of assets; • Build and execute on the marketing playbook that defines the collateral, tactics and timeframes for internal marketing activities and KPIs; • Lead engagement with the Microsoft.com Product Management team to define the value prop for the portfolio, both for the discrete capabilities and how they family together to create a solution, and define product feedback process to drive improvements to the offering; • Work cross-company with broad marketing, content publishing and technical web delivery teams and individuals to sell in Microsoft.com capabilities, and solicit "customer evidence" case studies and testimonials for the portfolio; • Build and drive executive communications proactively. • Collaborate with external vendor resources, including development of RFPs, vendor selection and management; • Contribute to and/or present the plan to senior management for buy-in and status on a regular basis. • Assume other responsibilities as needed. Qualifications: You will be successful in this role if you are action-oriented with a mix of strategic marketing vision and ability to execute; executive maturity and presence; strong written and verbal communication skills; you are passionate about the technologies that drive exceptional online user experiences while delivering on established business objectives; you have 5-8 years of demonstrated, global, world-class Web product marketing and/or management experience including an excellent understanding of key online customer satisfaction drivers; online relationship marketing strategy development and execution; comprehensive knowledge and/or understanding of Web applications, platforms, publishing, and/or technologies; demonstrated record of success partnering to achieve business results across multiple teams; thorough understanding of Microsoft’s business, products, and services. Experience managing multi-million dollar software development projects and proven ability to reduce enterprise-level total cost of ownership preferred. MBA or similar Master’s Degree preferred.
