The Sr. Product Manager for Creative Pro Marketing Technologies will report to the Director of Product Management for the Creative Professional Solutions, and will be responsible for building solutions that allow Creative Professionals to publish their creations and market them to the intended audience. This role will help Adobe plot a course for designer beyond File>Save or File>Export, and productize publishing and marketing best practices in a way that a designer could use. This role will own the strategic vision, product roadmap, and concept validation for publishing and marketing solutions that empower Creative Pros to get their creations to the intended audience (e.g., social media, email marketing, direct mail, ads, etc.). The Sr. Product Manager will possesses a balance of business and technical expertise, and is responsible for working with the various customer segment teams (i.e., photographers, graphic designers, web designers, etc.) to define a kickass product roadmap for how we help move our customers into the world of content marketing. This Sr. Product Manager will work closely with a designer and prototyper to bring these concepts to life and validate them with customers. Customer contact and validation will happen weekly, with the goal being that only the best concepts move beyond the prototype phase and into production work.
Responsibilities
- Evangelizing the product vision throughout the organization.
- Identify new areas for product development by analyzing customer requirements, market trends and competitive gaps.
- Champion and present opportunities to management for consideration.
- Work with business units and other product managers to define the roadmap and strategic vision for the product line(s).
- Analyze the marketplace, customers, prospects, non-customers and competitors to determine the right products to bring to market along with overall new marketing technology initiatives prioritization.
- Understand and evangelize multi-channel publishing, and find ways to help designers understand when they should take advantage of print, web, mobile, social or other channels
- Understand and evangelize the needs of the social media marketing customer base, social communities, and requirements to create social media campaigns.
- Monitor progress of the product concepts through validation, and then helping the concepts that pass transition from prototype to a dedicated product team, keeping senior management informed.
Requirements
- 6-8+ years of software product management, or a related function that demonstrates an ability to apply product knowledge to solve market needs.
- Fundamental understanding of multi-channel publishing and marketing (e.g., print, web, mobile, social, etc.). The right applicant will know the advantages and disadvantages of each of these channels, and will have ideas about how to bring this expertise to Adobe's vast creative community through products and/or services.
- A strong grasp of email marketing, social media communities, social media marketing, sentiment analysis, social campaign management, concepts, feature sets, competitive landscapes and industry direction.
- A solid understanding of technology trends around content publishing and marketing
- Knowledge of social networking platforms beyond casual use, and social media best practices and toolsets.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and increase professional knowledge of the latest trends in this space
- Knowledge in email marketing and social networking applications development a plus .
- The ability to lead and inspire cross-functional groups.
- Experience and level of comfort presenting concepts to senior executives.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proven track record of defining product requirements on schedule and shipping successful products.
- MBA a plus.
- Leadership experience in Business Intelligence or Customer Intelligence a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
