The Expedia.com Product Operations team leads the performance and growth of the Expedia.com lines of business.  We are seeking an e-commerce professional to help lead the growth of the Lodging line of business on our team.  

Working with the Sr. Manager of Product Operations, the successful candidate will have a finger on the pulse of the U.S. Lodging business, while defining strategic and incremental initiatives that differentiate Expedia, exceed customer needs, and deliver revenue and profit for the company.    You will identify important performance trends and areas of opportunity to grow the business, help define product needs, and work with various departments to drive US Lodging growth and profitability.

Key Accountabilities:
• P&L, Reporting and Analysis:  Develop, track & present routine and ad-hoc business performance updates, with the goal of improving conversion rates, transactions, and average transaction size.   Participate in the forecasting and planning process.
• Business Strategy:  Provide analytical leadership and input into business cases for new initiatives.  Establish & maintain value proposition, brand claims & competitive landscape.
• Product Management:  Lead key business and product initiatives, defining customer needs and developing innovative solutions.  Develop keen understanding of website experience and develop recommendations to improve customer engagement and conversion.   
• Supplier Relations:  Provide analytical leadership into key supply gaps and opportunities.  Partner with Expedia supply teams to ensure alignment on projects and identify opportunities for improvement and promotional support.
• Customer Experience:  Understand key drivers of customer satisfaction and attrition, through primary/secondary research, customer feedback, and partnership with Customer Operations & PR teams.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
• 2+ years in a highly analytical, results-driven environment
• Demonstrated e-commerce experience, travel e-commerce, preferred
• Experience leading a product or category with P&L or revenue management responsibility
• Familiarity with the agile development process, preferred
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving abilities.  Ability to turn data into information, into actions that improve KPI results
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis, research and presentation creation
• Knowledge of data warehouse and web analytics tools (e.g. Business Objects, Omniture, Tealeaf, etc.), a plus
