Position Overview:

Expedia’s Media Solutions team is looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, quality-oriented individual to drive development of innovative search advertising for Expedia Inc's media division. We are looking for a product manager with an impressive track record of achievement, and relevant experience in online advertising. Applicants with experience gained in (2 out of 3)search engines, in travel publishing environments and at large eCommerce brands are strongly preferred.

Candidates must have an advanced understanding in online advertising (ideally both search and display), product planning and management (including scenario planning, research, requirements gathering, testing and marketing), and be passionate about digital marketing, the evolution of advertising, and Travel. Ideal candidates will also have a proven track record of working successfully with engineering, sales, analytics, and marketing teams and be an accomplished analyst and presenter. The ability to work in an agile business and engineering environment and connect effectively and courteously with a global team of  business associates and partners is essential.  This role will be focused on planning and launching new advertising offerings in coordination with eCommerce stakeholders targeted towards flawless execution.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with sales, finance, operations and line of business owners to support and grow product revenues
- Identify areas for new revenues
- Work with stakeholders to come up with creative and mutually beneficial solutions to business problems
- Support global product & and sales initiatives
- Actively provide sales with support required to win new business
- Evaluate internal/ external business opportunities requiring strategic agreements and technical implementation
- Engage with engineering teams to plan and deploy products
- Manage multiple projects and details without losing site of the ‘big picture’
- Represent Media Solutions’ interests and values in every interaction throughout the organization

Skills and Requirements:
- 7 years minimum work experience in online advertising, business management and product development
- Experience working directly with sales, engineering, creative services, and operations teams
- Proven ability to work with multiple internal organizations requiring clear communication, evangelism and compromise
- Understanding of media buying/ planning cycles and Internet ad serving systems (Doubleclick, PointRoll, Omniture etc.) a plus
- Ability to successfully react and adapt to a rapidly growing online media environment
- Strong individual contributor - Bachelor’s degree required
