Urbanspoon is a discovery consumer brand built on the iPhone and has since evolved to be the most downloaded food related mobile app and the largest restaurant dining site with deep coverage of almost every restaurant (top ten travel app). In the last year, Urbanspoon has introduced an amazing restaurant reservations product that provides table management and generates reservations from Urbanspoon's 25 Million+ monthly diners. The Marketing Manager, Merchant & Product will be responsible for marketing initiatives that drive new customer acquisition through various channels (field, inside, partner and self-service channels) with a heavy emphasis on the self-service channel. You will work with the product and marketing team to drive warm leads and sales through an intuitive online flow. As part of this role, you will help with implementation and day-to-day management of online and offline direct marketing and email programs and campaigns. Urbanspoon has thousands of restaurants that come in it's website every month and there is enormous opportunity to capitalize on this channel. In this contract role, the Marketing Manager will work closely with internal teams (product, sales, and customer support) and external partners (agencies, vendors) to streamline communications and coordinate efforts to maximize efficiency and ROI of all marketing efforts. Specific responsibilities: - Work closely with product to create and optimize self-service sales flow well integrated with exciting and intuitive sales collateral. - Partner with the product team to craft positioning and messaging on new product launches - Drive and develop materials supporting sales product or service launches including one-sheets, videos brochures, case studies, testimonials and referral programs. - Identify and develop targeted marketing programs leveraging campaign data and customer segmentation to drive merchant sales, including email, paid and direct mail. - Analyze and capture marketing campaign performance metrics and ROI Requirements: - College degree in business, marketing or related field - Minimum of six years online marketing experience, acquisition or direct response preferred - Minimum of two years experience in product or sales marketing - Strong project management, leadership, and sales support skills - Ability to interpret data and make business recommendations - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
