Microsoft Advertising Business Group (MSABG)is an exciting and fast growing business unit within the Microsoft’s Online Services Division (OSD).
MSABG provides world-class digital advertising platforms and tools for advertisers, agencies and publishers. Its mission is to make buying and selling media simpler, smarter and more cost-effective across media and devices in the Microsoft network of properties and beyond.
MSABG businesses span search, display, online tools and networks as well as emerging media including mobile, gaming and video on demand.

Within the Display Ad Experiences organization the Product Marketing team provides all GTM marketing and process engagement with the global field, in flight marketing promotions and story-telling of our offerings as a suite of experiences for our marketing customers. We're looking for a Director, Product Marketing to lead GTM and Product Marketing efforts for our Creative Solutions, Mobile (including solutions for Mobile Developers), In App and WL/ Skype Display advertising experiences. This person should have an outstanding track record in digital marketing, excellent leadership and people management skills and a passion for both creativity and scalable processes to help us drive Microsoft’s advertising business forward in new and innovative ways.
In this role, you will manage a team of Product Marketers and work with various Microsoft groups to manage successful GTM for client and field facing solutions and features as well as product marketing and positioning for the businesses you support. You and your team will develop marketing materials that simplify the display ad experiences story/value prop for internal and external use and create and execute end-to-end plans to address product migration, communications, training, and support. You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal business group partners, field organizations including Sales and Trade Marketing, advertising clients, agencies, other industry players and complementary Microsoft groups in the advertising business. You will participate in and as needed lead components of our global field engagement process, ensuring the smooth and successful operation of GTM with our partners and stakeholders. As a manager you will also play a key role in driving overall business, process and people improvements and will own specific x initiatives that make the broader Product Marketing team and business more successful while establishing best practices within Microsoft as a whole.

Roles & Responsibilities
Detailed responsibilities include:
• Establish, manage and improve repeatable and scalable GTM and product marketing processes that produce materials and outcomes that consistently meet a high bar for quality
• Hire, manage, coach and develop a high performing team
• Oversee team execution and roll-out of GTM deliverables including, but not limited to:
o Training materials
o Product Messaging including pitch decks, promotional content, FAQs and one-sheeters
o Seasonal and event promotions
o Pilot/ beta programs and materials
o Service and support readiness materials
• Develop an understanding of our customers’ needs, wants, and processes through research and relationships with our stakeholders
• Create and/ or participate in customer/feedback loops and conduct and analyze market research data to define product positioning, as well as monitor competitive activity
• Work closely directly and through your team with product management partners on product positioning, features, enhancements, and timelines
• Define & execute annual marketing plans that support our strategy including promotional activities per region, tradeshow plans, conferences, and in market visits
• Work with members of Microsoft advertising field teams, including Sales, Sales Specialists, Trade Marketing and Learning & Development to prioritize marketing efforts to support the launch and growth of our offerings
• Create useful and timely communication GTM update vehicles to ensure proactive communication and to keep key stakeholders informed (monthly newsletter, Display GTM Update
meetings, etc)
• Increase team productivity and effectiveness through continually analyzing performance, driving actions for improvement, and implementing efficiency and productivity enhancing tools and processes; contribute best practices to the broader Product Marketing team
• Participate in and provide thought leadership to the Trade Marketing Global GTM process framework
• Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders including Trade Marketing, Sales and Engineering teams
• Evangelize Microsoft Advertising solutions and products in various internal and industry forums both individually and through others
• As needed create or contribute to executive presentations, briefings and/or press materials for the businesses you support
• Own annual planning and budgeting for your team, including ongoing budget management, hiring and other key functions
• Host and contribute to weekly, monthly and quarterly business and marketing meetings with key partners and other internal teams

Skills & Qualifications
Able to act as a strong evangelist within the industry, educating and convincing clients and partners about the benefits of Microsoft’s Display Ad Experiences
Effective communicator at all levels of the organization and with external groups (press, partners, clients, agencies, etc.)
Unrelenting focus on driving results through both established and innovative approaches
Ambitious with strong strategic thinking skills; able to develop comprehensive forward looking plans and execute against them with both strategic and tactical initiatives
Proven track record as a consistently top performer
Keen ability to forge strong, positive and sustained relationships across organizations and levels
Immense passion with a positive attitude

Experience Required
Experienced people manager with a track record of building high performing teams
Extensive background in online marketing
Proven results bringing successful products to market
Consistent history of successfully leading complex, cross-organizational initiatives
High proficiency in working effectively & leading teams within complex and ambiguous environments
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
BA/BS; MBA a plus
