Environmental and Combustion Controls (ECC) is a strategic business unit in Automation and Control Solutions (ACS). Honeywell is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to add to their growing team!
The Product Marketing Manager will work within his or her team to drive the development and deployment of the Alerton New Product Introduction (NPI) pipeline. Your contributions will continue to enable Alerton's dealer channel to grow share by delivering the most appealing portfolio of technologies and services in the building automation space. You will also own responsibilities for sustaining and life cycle management for the product portfolio to support the needs of the channel. This position reports to the Manager of Product Marketing of the Alerton Dealer Business and is located in Redmond, WA.

All major building niches and verticals have adopted Alerton technologies from small buildings to complex data centers and pharmaceutical facilities. By incorporating technologies in wireless, IT integration, data analytics and mobile computing devices, we will deliver more value to our customers and further raise the bar on our competition.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Adopt the current Product Portfolio Roadmap as your own and along with the team drive it to deliver to the objectives of the Alerton Global Strategic Plan including:
• Understand the building automation space both domestically and globally including the players, trends, technologies, standards, regulations and business models.
• Understand the competitive landscape and how we win and why competitors win.
• Own and drive the Marketing elements of the ECC NPI process including ideation, customer need identification, concept definition and product launch with the help of your team of product managers and specialists.
• Support building and strengthen the working relationship between all functional departments involved with the NPI and Product Sustaining activities. This includes engineering, marketing, sales, training, technical documentation & customer/technical support.
• Drive productivity strategies and act as a vehicle of best practice sharing across the business.
• Know the competition so that you deliver appropriate competitive analysis and comparison to the next best alternatives.
• Own (or quickly develop to) expert proficiency in the following key marketing skills: strategy & planning, value management and pricing, customer relationship management, products and services management, domain/industry knowledge, program & project management, research, analysis & voice of customer (VOC) collection. Understanding of and intermediate proficiency transactional pricing, channel management & brand management.
• Collaborate with the Redmond engineering teams as well as other CCS or Honeywell engineering and product marketing teams to understand all potential technologies and offerings that could be applied to this business.
• Work with Mar Com and Channel Marketing to successfully launch new products ensuring appropriate marketing collateral, training and launch events are developed for both internal and external customers.
• Periodically address medium sized audiences at dealer conferences and events and trade organization gatherings.
• Adept at all facets of product management and ability to support and influence product portfolio life cycle management and processes.
• Work with Honeywell Integrated Supply Chain, Sales Ops, and PSO teams to clearly understand delivery capability, infrastructure, and resources.
• Track and know the sales performance of all new products introduced and analyze for appropriate course corrections to insure that NPI revenue targets are met.
• Balance the response to process compliance with outcomes and objectives so business commitments are delivered.

• Bachelors Degree
• 5 years or more experience in product marketing/management
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA
- Strong knowledge of Technology and Technology Integration in the Building Automation Industry.
- 5 years or more experience in a project or systems integration business
Graduate technical studies are highly desirable.
- Excellent broad-based business thinker who can collaborate effectively with peers and executive functional and senior business line leaders.
- Track record of establishing short and long term market and product growth goals, then executing operating plans to achieve them.
- Strong business acumen, "street smarts" and an in-depth understanding of the marketing and financial implications of new opportunities.
- Ability to understand and add value to high-level management interactions, with a proven ability to develop and "sell" creative business strategies.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
