In this highly visible role across the organization, you will be the Sr. Manager of the transactional Foreign Exchange (FX) Payment Business working with senior management, your direct reports and Product Managerment peers to influence, guide and grow an exciting, innovative and complex transactional FX Payment product(s) with focus on Foreign exchange and international/cross border payments.

You will be directly responsible for the FX P&L and accountable to Sr. VP of the Ecommerce Platform to increase the profitability of existing products and develop new products for Amazon Global Payment Services (GPS). You will also need to have the ability analyze data to measure, build products and product enhancements from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your global payment and FX industry experience and your contact with stakeholders, customers and prospects.

You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision as well as the drive and attention to detail that transforms the vision into a reality. You must enjoy spending time with the clients (internal and external) and other market representatives to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.

You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with key clients and stakeholders of GPS including: strategic communications, customer service organization, retail and marketplace organizations, accounting, retail, treasury, tax, legal, seller/vendor systems and transaction risk management (fraud).  You will work with these groups to analyze the business needs, create the product requirements and define the go-to-market strategy, helping them to understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


* Develop and implement a go-to-market plan for enhancing existing or developing new products on the transactional FX platform by conducting market research.

* Evaluate, analyze and evangelize your product across the organization as well as identify new opportunities.

* Create and gather business and technical requirements across Amazon from various stakeholders like Engineering, Customer Experience, Operations, Legal, Treasury, Tax and Accounting through market requirements, product requirements and positioning for existing and new opportunities.

* Develop innovative marketing strategies and campaign programs for target audience to increase awareness and drive demand for the given product

* Manage end-to-end marketing campaign planning and execution process, including campaign design, delivery, analyzing results and learning to ensure full results from each campaign.

* Understand customer adoption roadblocks and address them via both product and marketing solutions

* Assess and manage potential partner/vendor relationships (sell-side and buy-side) as well as contractual negotiations necessary for a world class payments product.

* Establish the product mission, goals and supporting business metrics and indicators for a best in class retail payment product.

* Communicate well with all areas of the company and act as product champion for internal stakeholders, serving as internal Product Expert promoting the product and documenting new features and benefits.

Basic Qualifications
  • 10 + years of Product management experience.
  • 5+ years direct report management experience.
  • Industry experience in payments,  e-commerce, consumer financial services or other transaction-intensive consumer applications preferr
  • Proven track record in developing, defining, managing and executing new opportunities as well as innovative marketing strategies and campaign programs for target audience to increase awareness and drive demand for the given product.
  • Proven track record in managing products, preferably in the financial space.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; mathematics, computer science (or related discipline) and/or business administration, economics or finance preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable in  FX, retail payments, ecommerce or financial services industry
  • Knowledge in FX and cross border International payments domain a strong plus.
  • Excellent cross-functional project management skills
  • Knowledgeable in technology development best practices and product management methodology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills, ability to write SQL queries is a plus.
