The Canada team is looking for a talented, smart, and enthusiastic business owner to lead the 3rd party marketplace for the Media businesses. Amazon.ca is a rapidly expanding business, focused on building a wide selection of products, improving the online retail experience and delivering value to our customers.
The Senior Merchant Product Manager will manage the portfolio of third-party merchant sellers across our Books, Music and Movies/TV product lines on Amazon.ca. He/she will drive revenue growth, help build out programs such as Fulfillment by Amazon, drive demand and traffic, conduct regular business analysis and reporting, and manage projects working with our technology teams to build a world class customer experience for our Canadian customers. Primary responsibilities include:
- Manage a P&L for our 3rd party business and develop quarterly and annual strategic plans. Conduct business and financial analysis, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.
- Drive our day-to-day relationships with large key strategic partners. Maximize the top-line results of these relationships by ensuring the partners are effectively merchandising on Amazon.com, running promotions, and optimizing their integration with Amazon.
- Develop business cases and define requirements for new features and enhancements to our 3rd party marketplace.
- Lead cross-functional projects to deliver an improved seller and customer experience. Build strong internal relationships with technology and development teams in order to deliver these projects.

| Basic Qualifications |
- BA/BS required
- 5+ years of work experience in at least 2 of the following areas: product management, consulting, financial analysis, sales/ business development, technology, or P&L management
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills (includes ability to use tools such as Excel and Access); ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and experience delivering multiple competing projects simultaneously
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically; a relentless focus on customers
- Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools; knowledge of SQL a plus
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualized and manage multiple complex projects with various technical, engineering and other cross-functional teams
- Experience in retail or eCommerce a plus
- MBA preferred
