SUMMARYPRODUCT MANAGER

 

MagnaDrive is a rapidly growing Seattle based manufacturer of rare-earth magnet induction based couplings and adjustable speed drives in the Mining, Power, Water/?Wastewater, Petrochemical, building trades and Maritime markets.?  This position is responsible all aspects of the coupler and ASD product lines.? The successful candidate will be responsible for: supporting existing products; providing input for product development; identifying new application opportunities; and supporting sales world-wide.? The successful candidate will have demonstrated success managing products and/?or market segments ideally with a background in Fluid Couplers or VFD’s.?

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Establish and maintain addressable market potential by product, geography and market segment

 

·         Develop content for product, market segment presentations, brochures and Website

 

·         Create and implement value propositions by market and/?or customer for all products

 

·         Establish competitive positioning, provide recommendations for pricing, and support sales with channel partner analysis and selection

 

·         Develop and communicate information as it becomes available, and clearly communicating that data to our customers and sales people

 

·         Support Strategic Plan development by providing product and technology roadmaps, define the value proposition and multi-year go-to-market strategies, provide ROI analysis to assist in prioritizing initiatives.?

 

·         Develop and deliver effective sales and marketing presentations, education and support for the product/?service line, including compelling training, seminars, demonstrations and other education that conveys technically complex material in an easy to understand way, while ensuring all materials and pricing are correct

 

·         Work with sales to ensure that the sales channels are optimized, and that the appropriate marketing collateral and coverage is in place for the product/?service line, and where required, anticipate the impact of and recommend changes in coverage as appropriate.?

EDUCATION and/?or EXPERIENCE

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Science

·         A minimum of ten (10) years of engineering and/?or sales & marketing equipment or related market experience.?

·         Experience working with a distribution network

·         Working with international teams would be considered a plus

·         Proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel

 

 

Specialized Knowledge Required Including any required certificates, licenses, and registrations

·         Superior organizational and communication skills.?

·         Strong presentation and interpersonal skills

·         Strong customer focus and capable of working independently as well as in teams.?

·         Strong technical knowledge in at least one of the target market segments: Mining; Water/?Wastewater; Power; Petrochemical

·         Proven track record of successful consultant, contractor, and end user technical sales and support.?

·         Capable of motivating /? supporting sales professionals, as well as competently presenting key product and application advantages to engineers and end users.?

WORK ENVIRONMENT

·         Office:  Standard office equipment; work usually performed in an office setting

·         Travel:  As required to fulfill the duties listed above.? Other travel as needed or required by the company - up to 50%? travel.?

·         Relocation to Seattle area desirable, but not required.? Telecommuting with travel acceptable for a qualified candidate.?
