Sr. Product Manager, Vertical Solutions - Financial Services or Consumer Electronics

Overview
Amazon’s Display Advertising Platform team is looking for a motivated self-starter to develop its vertical industry solutions for the newly organized Advertiser Success team.  Display Advertising is one of Amazon's fastest growing and most profitable businesses. The quality of Amazon’s audience and targeting is our most fundamental differentiator.
In this role, the Product Manager will be responsible for packaging solutions for one of our key industry verticals – Financial Services or Consumer Electronics - across front-end products/packages/promotions, targeting, analytics and offsite inventory.  For example, what’s the best solution for an advertiser with acquisition objectives vs brand perception objectives?


You will have responsibility for multiple clients in an industry vertical. On one hand, you will collaborate with the sales and account management team to service clients (pre/mid/post-campaign) by leveraging our suite of targeting and analytics products.  On the other hand, you will work with engineering to build new targeting/analytics products that will best use our rich data on behalf of advertisers while protecting and enhancing the customer experience on Amazon and third-party inventory.  You will develop products that help advertisers in the vertical both understand the impact of their online marketing, and also improve its effectiveness in the future.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work from the customer backward to develop the best vertical products for Amazon’s display advertising targeting and analytics capabilities.
  • Package vertical solutions that span targeting, analytics, placement, sponsorships, promotions and creative.  Work closely with clients in specific verticals to articulate and set up marketing objectives synthesize data, conduct analysis, and make strategic business recommendations build end-to-end solutions that meet marketing objectives
  • Identify repeatable solutions and best practice that can be built to scale and serve more advertisers
  • Work with engineering and early-adopting clients to drive and tune implementation against the product roadmap.
  • Manage products through initial launch and follow-on releases.
Basic Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as experience applying those skills in the advertising domain is highly desired.
  • Experience (5+ years) in brand or product management is required, preferably in Consumer Electronics.  This includes agency/consulting experience in these industries.
  • A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in an analytical field (e.g. Economics, Psychology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance); Proficiency in SQL is desirable
  • Understanding of basic statistics is required
    Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and charts) is required ;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are critical
Preferred Qualifications
  • An MBA is preferred
  • Experience in online advertising or web-based technologies is a plus
  • Experience partnering with sales and/or engineering team is a plus
