The Mobile Broadband and Emerging Products (MBB) team leads one of the quickest growing and dynamic businesses at T-Mobile. We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial and highly motivated Sr. Marketing Manager who will help develop and drive new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to realize our vision. This is a high profile role, both internally and externally, and will require the successful candidate to be a strategic thinker with keen practical business acumen, a deep understanding of marketing, highly developed communication and PowerPoint presentation skills, as well as solid Excel business model and analytical abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with internal teams and external partners (e.g., OEMs, national retailers, industry analysts, technology partners) to identify new consumer and B2B market and technology trends, prioritizing new strategic initiatives, as well as developing and implementing successful market or category entry strategies. The candidate will also be responsible for working with the Director of Product Marketing and VP of Mobile Broadband and Emerging Products to refine the 3-5 year strategy for the overall business.

Essential Functions:
  • Assess and prioritize key industry and competitive trends to determine strategic opportunities for T-Mobile%27s MBB business

  • Lead internal and external partners to develop comprehensive go-to-market plan to enter and win these strategic opportunities

  • Work with the VP of MBB and his leadership team, Customer & Competitive Intelligence, Strategic Pricing, and Corporate Strategy & Development to refine the 3-5 year strategy for the overall MBB business



Job Requirements

!*!Minimum Requirements:
  • 8 - 10 years of product marketing, brand management, product management, strategy consulting, and/or finance experience.

  • Experience as an analyst in a top tier strategy consulting firm is preferred.

  • 6+ years in one or more of the following categories: software/hardware, web, telecommunications, consumer electronics, or consumer packaged goods, with a focus on marketing, product management or strategy. While telecommunications experience is not required, a strong understanding of data services and products is desired.

  • Ability to assess and implement successful, focused, integrated marketing communication and distribution plans. Strong command of marketing and strategic frameworks (4P's, 3 C's, etc). Ability to develop business strategies and apply given strategy and/or common business knowledge to recommendations and rationale and deliver strong results (revenue, activations, customer retention)

  • Marketing strategy implementation through a strong understanding of marketing objectives and needs, and demonstrated success with executing campaigns using customer segmentation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills (especially PowerPoint), with the ability to convey business and technical concepts to subject matter experts and non-technical professionals. Ability to develop and present compelling business cases to stakeholders and sell ideas/present results to internal and external executives

  • Sound business analysis experience; comfortable understanding how to assess financial and operational metrics to drive insight and business decisions. Ability to create forecasts, financial models and budgets.

  • Experience with consumer/market research and turning analysis and insights into a business strategy.

  • Ability to influence, lead and coach cross-functional teams and champion new concepts and ideas.

  • BA required, MBA from a top business school is highly preferred

  • Experience developing and implementing strategic marketing programs through wireless partners

Travel Requirements:
  • Approximate % of time traveling will be 10-20%
