Concur is looking for an experienced product manager that will manage a portfolio of innovative new cloud and mobile integrated travel and expense management products and launch new products to market for the small and mid-sized businesses. Our candidate would have a strong track record marketing cloud-based consumer or business solutions, an intimate understanding of Sales 2.0 principles, deep experience developing direct and channel marketing plans targeting small and middle market businesses, and a proven ability to collaborate with development teams to bring new innovations to market.
Position reports to the Vice President of SMB Product Marketing.
Responsibilities:
Provide vision and leadership for the product management team, organizationally communicating priorities, accomplishments and challenges, cross functionally
Hire, train, mentor, lead and develop Product Managers
Provide coaching and serve as sounding board to Product Managers to drive initiatives critical to product success
Create and manage positioning, pricing, packaging, and promotions for a portfolio of travel booking and expense management products targeted at small and mid-sized businesses
Collaborate with marketing and development teams to manage the user experience of your products, ensuring consistency across the marketing web site, web product, mobile product, and customer service experiences
Lead channel marketing and collaborate with business development to drive channel distribution results
Conduct market research, lead focus groups, and engage in an on-going dialog with customers and non-customers
Identify market requirements for enhancements to your products and for future new products
Lead cross-functional teams to launch new products into the marketplace
Lead competitive and market intelligence for the small and mid-sized business segments
Serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offerings
Interact with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Business Development, Support, and External Customers
Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies
Education, Experience & Training required:
BS/BA in Marketing or equivalent work experience is required. Pursuit of higher education (MBA for example) or specialized training preferred.
10+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager within an on-demand services or software company
5+ years of management experience
2+ years cloud solution marketing experience
Experience delivering software solutions to small and mid-sized businesses
Experience with equipping and supporting sales professionals.
Less than 25% travel
Ability to pass a background check.
